31 Dec BOQUETE JAZZ AND BLUES FESTIVAL IS BACK
The Boquete Jazz and Blues Festival is considered a World-Class Music festival on the slopes of Volcan Baru and it is just about to start. After an amazingly successful festival in 2017, the event that gathers top-class Jazz and Blues artist from United States, Canada, Europe, Central and South America and elsewhere will take place on February 22nd to 25th, 2018 in the eclectic city of Boquete.
For 12 years in a row, this unique event has been ranked as the best music festivals that has ever taken place within the Chiriqui highlands, attracting visitors not only from all over Panama, but countries such as: Costa Rica, United States, Canada and even Europe. This year’s edition won’t be an exception as activities and performances have been prepared to entertain everyone, with a unique location such as Boquete and an impeccable organization carried out by the must professional staff behind the scenes.
This incredible event will start off with a garden party on February 22nd, and for four days, an unimpeachable selection of artists will be performing at the Boquete Jazz and Blues Festival to impress the audience and let the good music spread all around the place. With the performance of artists such as: Spyro Gyra and their true influential jazz legacy; Dwayne Dopsie considered New Orleans’ hottest zydeco player and 2018 Grammy nominee; Otis Taylor with his amalgamation of roots styles in their rawest form; The Nighthawks, legends of blues and roots rock; The Iguanas and their combination of rock, R&B and Latin styles; as well as the famous Maria Rivas who features one of the most versatile voices of Latin America.
Malamanya with their rhythms and melodies from Cuba and Latin America, Magic Dick & Shun Ng will play the harmonica and guitar with soul and science, Ian Siegal will bring his British troubadour, Anne Harris her violin, Samy Sandoval his accordion to enhance the Panamanian rhythms followed by other great artists including: Deanna Bogart, Lance Anderson, John Carney, José Ramirez, Charlie Marré and Rigoberto Coba, who together will create an unique combination of rhythms and emotions to amuse everyone.
During the festival, there also will be art exhibits, Jam sessions every night, excellent dining experiences, the world’s greatest coffee of Boquete, some exciting outdoor adventures hosted by artists, beautiful weather and such much fun, to make of this event the biggest little festival in the world.
