28 Apr MORE THAN 200 WHOLESALERS IN EXPO TURISMO INTERNACIONAL
Panamanian tourism entrepreneurs will have access to more than 200 buyers from different segments such as: incentive, congress, convention, corporate and group that will be participating at Expo Turismo Internacional 2019 held at the ATLAPA Convention Center on May 24 & 25.
The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) in alliance with the National Chamber of Tourism (CAMTUR), the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) supported by the Panamanian Association of Hotels (APATEL) and Copa Airlines, have organized Expo Turismo Internacional 2019. This year, organizers are expecting more than 1,000 business appointments to be held between exhibitors and buyers on the exclusive day for professionals (May 24). These encounters are coupled with a series of technical tours to experience first-hand the infrastructure and benefits that the country has to offer.
José Rodolfo de la Guardia, president of the organizing committee informed that this year’s event will be focused on the promotion of MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Events). De la Guardia pointed out that “this has been a challenge to become the edition with more wholesalers attending after 10 years of hard work”. In addition, Gustavo Him, administrator of the ATP said that “the institution will support this initiative to promote Panama in front of many buyers from all over the world in order to open a range of opportunities for Panamanian tourism companies that will be able to promote their products and services during the event.”
This event will gather approximately 110 exhibition booths with companies from the Caribbean, America, Asia, Europe and Panama, such as airlines, tour operators, hotels & resorts, travel agencies, shopping malls, among others. On Friday, May 24, the exhibition will have limited access to exhibitors and international tourism wholesalers already registered and on Saturday, May 25, the event will be opened to the general public from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Start planning your next holidays and take advantage of the different promotions available during Expo Turismo Internacional 2019.
